We come here at least once a year - we have busy schedules and it's hard to get downtown with two young children. My only negative is the oriental adults and children are very rude and pushy.

Science world is worth a trip, and even has a cinema screen playing documentaries for no additional price, but not only was (as expected) flooded with very young children, but some of the attractions where "under repair", and it's certainly not a place for couple, or solo adults and is not really a place for teens (depending on who you... I went here originally just to watch and Omnimax film however you either have to have a mission to the Science Center and the film ticket or you have to wait till 15 minutes before the film starts in order to be let into the center to go up and wait to get into the movie. So I decided that... More

I would recommend this for people under the age of 15. There is a lot of interactive be things and is more suitable for younger children. However you can still learn a lot and is ver good about telling you how to make our world better for the environment!

When the raindrops started falling we headed indoors. Two couples one in their late 20's and us 60+. Fun science games and facts combined with a good IMAX show on the Arctic and global warming. Even took popcorn into the theater.

We arrived in Vancouver late afternoon and so only had 1 1/2 hours at the museum. We had to pay full entry which was annoying but it was a fantastic museum. Extremely interactive and really interesting. Would definitely recommend it but need 2-3 hours to do it justice

Took the kids here while the rest of the family went fishing. We seem to visit children's museums or science centers wherever we travel. This one was spacious, and there were a lot of hands on things to do. The staff was great- there are plenty of volunteer staff around to help with activities and brain teasers. We spent hours... A great place to spend a rainy day with kids of all ages. Hands on learning, and a show every hour too. The cafe is like a fastfood burger place, not bad at all.

The staff were quite kind to my school group coming in, a group of loud grade sixes and sevens. I did quite enjoy myself, but there many of the hands-on activities that my friends took a look at were clearly for kids around the age of seven or eight. The film in the large theater was educational, as were all... More

The game room is HUGE and many of them are equally as fascinating to comprehend as they are fun to play with. I stayed for 6 hours and wanted to stay for longer. Not to mention The featured Quantum exhibit blew my mind and I am now avidly reading about the subject. I will be back I guarantee it.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
