We jogged around the 2.7km loop twice. A quick, flat trail run that passes along the golf course. Lots of trees that provide shade and that blocks out traffic along Cambie. One friend ran once and was able to hit some balls on the golf course. It was a nice day!

The city of Vancouver runs 3 public golf courses, all very well maintained. I hadn't played Langara for a long long time and was impressed when I did so last week. Some of the par 4's are a little short but narrowish fairways and undulating greens still present a challenge. My preference is for McCleery GC over Langara and Fraserview,... More

We took the chance to play Langara Golf Course whilst on holiday from the UK. We were greeted by friendly staff in the pro shop. We hired clubs which were good quality. The course was in pretty good condition however the greens were recently cored but played well despite being a bit slow. They will be certainly faster in a... More

I golfed Langara Golf Course first week of May and made the mistake of not checking in advance about course condition. The greens were just punched..so not great condition. Surprised that they punched this late. Fairways were in great condition. Rough was quite high. Be warned....hard to find balls in the rough. Service was friendly and pace was steady. Waited... More

Langara golf course is a municipal course open to the general public. The grounds are picturesque wit many flowering plants and the greens are watered using an underground aquifer that has non potable water. So while the lack of rain has precipitated a water crisis in Vancouver so watering restrictions prevent keeping grass green, this course is still beautiful and... More

With the long dry summer many of the courses in the Vancouver area are getting pretty dry. Langara has it's own aquifer that supplies the course with water. Fairways were green, greens were outstanding and overall a most enjoyable day on the course. Food at the restaurant was tasty and staff overall very friendly.

If you're a beginner to mid level golfer looking for a decent golf course that's not too challenging this is it. Centrally located that's not too demanding and flat, you can play a round that's neither too expensive nor far off.

Not sure where some golfers played before but there are no flat holes on this sloped course. With doglegs the course design brings risk reward shots into play. Green acres is flat btw. This is well maintained for a public course . Don't let the city turn this into low income housing/park.
