Canadians are just friendly, and you will get this up close at the visitor center. Not only friendly, but very helpful with recommendations and tips. The staff know their city and the area well. TIP: buy tickets for sightseeing and/or activities at a discount.

We were visiting from the UK and wanted to know about Whistler. A lovely lady called Ivy helped us and provided us with all we needed including a really useful map. The centre is well laid out and has plenty of staff on hand.

This visitor centre has been the best that I have ever been to. In particular David a young man who works at this centre. He was extremely helpful and gave excellent advice. Also very patient. Recommend this centre to all who travel to Vancouver.

When the visitor centre was renovated and made smaller the entire atmosphere changed. Before there were friendly, helpful people and now quite the opposite. I took a group of international guests there and was treated so rudely it was embarrassing. This isn't the first time....More

Me, 65 years+ and my wife 58 years are visiting Canada as tourists for the first time. Our entry and exit point is Vancouver. On 4th Sept 2015 we reach at 1.25 pm by Cathay Pacific. We have a weeks booking at Aspens. Condo in Whistler. We intend to book a Pacific Coach Lines bus leaving airport at 3 pm. Would that be a safe interval to board the bus after alighting? On 11 th we board the same bus from Aspens at 8.30 am ( pick up from hotel? ) and reach Burrard sky train station at 10.50 am. We have to then walk across to Days Inn Vancouver downtown on Pender Street where we are already booked. WE WANT TO VISIT CAPILANO AND PERHAPS GROUSE MOUNTAIN SAME DAY. Could you please suggest keeping in mind we are budget tourists. Also after a week long cruise with HAL Volendum we reach Vancouver pier on 23 rd morning at 7 am. We are again booked for 2 nights at Days Inn. COULD YOU SUGGEST A DAY TRIP COVERING VANCOUVER ON 23 RD AND A DAY TRIP TO VICTORIA ANDBACK FOR THE 24TH WITH COSTS INVOLVED. Thanks.
