We wanted to see a canadian theatre and to listen to some local players. well we had a very nice evening and I would recommend such experience to travelers, it's something different

Visited the Orpheum to see the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. We entered from the older Granville Street entrance which wasn't crowded (most were entering through the main entrance.) The theater is wonderfully designed, decorated and maintained. I would have loved to just come here and walk...More

This is a great venue for events of all sorts. The acoustics are generally great. Last night at the Vancouver Symphony they had installed large projection screens which brought the orchestra closer without binoculars.

If you are not going to sit closer to the front, I'd find a seat in the upper balcony and bring binoculars.

There really is not a bad seat in the house; however, if you are wanting to see something close then I would avoid that upper balcony.

Inside of Orpheum, there is a kind of bar. You can have a drink some icecream, but for food you should go outside. Plenty of choices for every taste.
