We had over 3,000 people at our conference. The location was fabulous! They were wise to have keynote speakers face the gorgeous view, not us:-) Many hotels were used and they were all within walking distance. I was 8 minutes away and LOVED it! The convention centre was great.

This building is THE most beautiful convention space I've ever been in. The architecture on the harbor, the natural stone and wood accents everywhere, and the walls of glass are exquisite!

This is a great place to take a stroll along the outside walkway to get a great view of the harbour and the North Shore! Some interesting pubs and shops to enjoy a drink and or a meal. Plus you have the inside of the convention centre which is another story!

Beautiful views from this convention center. Drawback is limited food venues in the center. Most of the nearby waterfront options are heavily Touristen.

This convention center has been designed to be enjoyed by the public as well as attendees at meetings. It consists of two buildings -- East and West -- connected by a wide, indoor walkway. The East building in Canada Place has been around for a while and shares the quarters with the cruise ship terminal and the Pan Pacific Hotel.... More

The setting, right on the harbour is amazing, you can watch sea planes taking off and landing with the mountains as a back drop. All this on top of excellent conference facilities, organisation and fantastic staff.

Coal Harbour is a lovely walking, biking, rollerblading location. So much beauty to look at as the seawall leads directly into Stanley Park. The Convention Centre is part of the Coal Harbour area and hosts all sorts of conventions and special events. It's a beautiful and spacious location. Downtown Vancouver is a walking city as you can get most anywhere... More

I have attended a few conferences and functions at the Convention Centre and they have all been very well done. The most recent was in Ballroom D on the main floor which has its foyer area along the windows on the north side of the building over looking the harbour. What an absolutely beautiful view and location, don't know where... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
