Had a walk around, stopped by the steam clock, which was nice to see. Nice meal and drinks reasonably priced. Purchased a few things. Only being there at night limited what we could see but tour guide showed us a few places.

We booked 3 days in Vancouver as part of a cruise vacation. Pleasantly surprised with the diversity of shops and ease of shopping. Top brands. High quality stores. Very clean and well maintained city center. Feeling perfectly safe in the streets. A good mix of...More

Downtown Vancouver has a variety of restaurants and shops you could visit. Everything is close by and you can walk to most places. Parking is expensive so walk or take the bus.

Downtown is very clean, beware that in the weekends some parts are not so busy because it is mainly a business district. We ended up in some empty restaurants. The views at the waterfront are absolutely amazing.

Lots of shops and eateries in busy downtown. Easy to get around on buses, trains or hop-on hop-off bus.

Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is
bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their

plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and
corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau
restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping
options. However, located right on the waterfront of

I have never been to Vancouver and am wondering if it snows in the city or if we can find snow nearby? We are thinking of visiting the week of christmas? My kids want to stay where it snows but I don't want to stay too far from the city. Any suggestions?

I was there in September and I don't believe Vancouver has much snow. We were told many Canadians retire to that area because of the "warmer" winters. However, Whistler has snow almost all year round. It is about 90 min... More

Vancouver is a "walking" city with great public transit. Whistler is a great little town, but if you only have one day, I would skip it as it's quite a drive there & back. Instead, I would enjoy Stanley, Granville Island... More

I have 8 days to go between Vancouver and Seattle - for those of you who know both of these areas and what's inbetween, I'm wondering how much time you'd spend in both towns and how much time you'd take driving (including stops to whatever may be interesting to see inbetween). thanks for your thoughts!

I presume you are renting a car, since you have 8 days to tour around I would suggest that you see Vancouver first, google "Sites in Vancouver" and it shows an array of things and places to see. Stanley Park is a must... More
