On June 21, 2015 We picked the perfect day. We saw 15 to 20 differnt Orca Whales. The crew and skipper were very informative. On the way back we saw seals and porpoise. We lucked out because were flat and the temps were comfortable. The day before the seas were 3ft +.

The girls and captain knew lots about the whales. The pods around us and the names of each whale. Lots of info about them. We saw Orcas, sea lions, and a bald eagle. As recommended to me the summer months in the AM have the calmer waters. But take a jacket. It does get cooler when at speed.

First time experience for whale watching, we picked "5-Star", because the type & style of vessel. The zodiac boats was a choice that did not work for us and the catamaran style of boat allows you a great view from the upper deck with bench style seating or you can sit inside (stay warm) if the weather goes bad! The... More

I have always wanted to see Orca in the wild, and finally got to. We went to find Orca and we did. The crew were very informative and answered any questions. We were able to see many members of the J-pod. There are 3 family pods in the area and they can tell who is who by the markings. We... More

It was amazing because we saw 10 orcas but the boat was very far and the guy didn't want to be more closed ! Others boats were more closed than us, I was so jealous about that ! The girl on the boat with us was very nice and cool, she explained a lot of history about whales and orcas.

I highly recommend that you bundle up if you plan on being seated at the top of the boat. If it wasn't for the jackets on board I would have had to go to the lower cabin. Luckily I was able to tough it out. We took the afternoon boat on Saturday and it did not seem to be too... More

It was hoped we would see Orca, the spirit of travel and symbol of romance and loyalty but it was early in the season and there was only one pod around so we did not see them. We did see Humpback Whales, diving and showing the fluke. Also seals and an eagle. It was a memorable day with a knowledgable... More

We had some elderly guests from the UK and therefore chose this company as the boat didn't travel at speeds unsuitable for the elderly.. They sat downstairs and we sat upstairs and there was commentary from the naturalists on both levels and they were informative and friendly. The captin was also friendly no informative and all were empathetic to the... More

While the boat was nice and the two naturalists were friendly, they were unable to find any whales for us to see. We did see a couple see otters and some sea lions but as this is a whale watching tour, I could only give 2 stars since the main objective was not met. Had we seen whales, I would... More

I really enjoyed our time with Five Star Whale Watching. Honestly, we went with them because they were the cheapest, and we knew ahead of time that all the boats end up in the same place. They communicate with each other, and all the companies end up where the whales are, if they are around. We do NOT regret our... More
