I didn't see this as a park that went beyond the usual compared to others in the America's or elsewhere. It is nice, but in terms of size, has nothing on Golden Gate Park in SFO and is essentially on par with Portland OR--but I...More

I spent a lovely afternoon wandering around this park. The gardens are beautiful, as are the ponds. The petting zoo is a must for young and old. The rose gardens are amazing, and I highly recommend walking down to the water to watch the dogs...More

We stayed just a few blocks from this park and had the opportunity to visit several times. It is incredibly diverse in habitat and beautifully designed. There is a good variety of birdlife including nesting herons. A lovely place to stoll!

The park is beautiful. Watched the surfers sail in the wind. The cargo ships were cool. The water/strait was clear and just a great place to enjoy the scenery and relax

Great park for families, with a cute and well-maintained petting zoo and lots of peacocks wandering around. Beautiful and lots of trees, great views of the water from different parts. Highly recommend to anyone, especially with kids!

What an amazing park. Where else can you see wild peacocks and turtles, a petting zoo, tons of flowers and across the street from the ocean. One of the best parks I have ever been to!

SO close to downtown Victoria - an easy walk and there you are in a lovely park with lots of water features, flowers, trees, and even a petting zoo that even adults would enjoy! Peacocks, goats, butterflies - lots of fun! Highly recommended!

Overnight parking is not permitted in the Park. There is a general provision in the Victoria By-Laws that also limits parking in parks to 3.5 hours during the day. I doubt if this is enforced in Beacon Hill though.

Yes , it is dog friendly provided that WOOF is on a lead. Certain areas such as the zoo area do not allow dogs inside that area. A large area , just across from Beacon Hill park ( along side waters edge) is a great area for... More

Well the trees are a little larger since 1969. Not sure if naming post is there. At the North end of the Park (Southgate) by the Ball & Soccer field's.
