This bar if you sit outside gives you some entertainment while you have drink. There are street performers and musicians, artist displays and just a parade of characters to watch (tourist like ourselves and residents both!) A fun few hours to regroup and hydrate.

It's historic and beautiful, so what more can you ask for. It's full of boats with shops and restaurants close by. Right across from the Empress Hotel which is the perfect spot to enjoy the view from and you should see both together. Enjoy!

Nice streetwalk area with lots of little shops and pubs. Great place to sit and have a quick meal or a drink while watching people pass in the summer. Everyone so friendly.

Victoria feels nostalgic and it has a great ambiance, we enjoyed a stroll and enjoying the beautiful views of the harbor with boats and yachts sailing in and sea planes flying in. Magical atmosphere, quite touristy but interesting with historical significance and depth.

Is the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC an easy walk from the cruise ship? Or is a taxi / bus recommended? I have limited mobility and cannot walk long distances.

Hi -- Is Victoria Pier the same pier that the cruise ships pull into? I am stopping there at the end of an Alaskan cruise -- Holland America -- in June and I think my parents would like to see this instead of shuttling into town and rushing around to see the gardens. We are only in Victoria from 6 pm to 11:59 pm. Are there places to eat nearby? Thank you.

If you're referring to Buchart Gardens, you wouldn't be able to see them if you're only arriving at 6pm.. As others have said you're about 20 minutes roughly from the Victoria Pier area.. Lots to eat in this area, as it's in... More
