Description:

The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world....

The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world. Since hosting the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Whistler Sliding Centre continues to challenge the sports’ most elite athletes with international competitions, recruiting camps, and ongoing youth programs. Visitors are invited to tour the state-of-the-art facility, or experience the action first-hand with passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and skeleton rides (winter only) down part of the 1,450 meter-long ice track.

Summer Bobsleigh on wheels will run daily from July 1 until September 3, 2017!

Athlete training on ice will start again in October 2017, public Bobsleigh and Skeleton programs on ice will resume in December 2017.

Year-round, visitors can access the Whistler Sliding Centre's public areas for Sightseeing daily from 9am until 5pm. Site access is not permitted outside these hours.

It is a definitely must do at least once in your life. Pure speed and G forces only inches from the ice. WOW! It does take about 1-2 hours (depending on the amount of riders) total time including the transportation to the sliding centre, short video and safety talks. They track your speed and you compete against the rest of... More

After we booked our hotel, our concierge sent us a list of things to do in Whistler. This was on the list! I didn't even know that it was possible to ride in a bobsled. Once I knew, there was no question it was going to happen and we made our reservation months in advance. There is plenty of paperwork... More

My husband and myself decided to take our three teenage girls to the sledding Centre for bobsledding experience. We read many great reviews about it and decided we just had to try the fastest bobsledding track in the world. As terrified as I was, after we received the instruction, i got into the sled and was excited. It ended up... More

After a day of skiing we thought we'd give this a try. We were a bit nervous as there is a lot of paper work to fill out and they consistently remind you not to do this if you are prone to back/ neck injuries. It was a thrill I have NEVER experienced. Our driver was fantastic and the ride... More

I had heard about this place before I left the uk for my ski trip to Whistler. I kept thinking all week long about doing either the bobsleigh or the Skelton run. In the end I decided upon the Skelton as you get 2 runs for your money instead of one for the bobsleigh. Although the 4 person bobsleigh goes... More

This was a safe and exciting, 76 mph trip down the world's fast bobsleigh track giving us a glimpse from the perspective of Olympic athletes. The staff was awesome preparing us fully for the 41 second trip. We even got a picture of our team at the finish included in the price. There is a small information center to learn... More

Decided to go in the Bobsleigh experience with my fourteen year old son. We had a blast! Although the ride was short at just over 40s, we hit almost 125km/h and the g forces were awesome. The speed at which these things travel is Amazing and being on the fastest track in the world is pretty cool. I've done the... More

I did the bobsled experience today and it was AMAZING! Very friendly staff and great over all experience. They were welcoming and very helpful. I highly recommend this next time you're in whistler. It's great for you and it helps athletes to compete by keeping their costs down.

The Sliding Center staff were very helpful and informative. All of the proceeds from your ride go to support the Olympic Teams! The pre-ride information was scary, but once you are at the starting point, the pilots really calm you down. The ride itself was so unbelievable!!! I loved it!! I highly recommend doing this if you ever visit Whistler!!

We booked this last minute on the day and were so glad we decided to do the bobsleigh. The build up was great, they are so focused on safety, but make learning about your ride fun as well. Really impressed with the organisation and briefing. I was pretty nervous about the speed, but once we launched it was just fantastic,... More
