Description:

The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world....

The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world. Since hosting the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Whistler Sliding Centre continues to challenge the sports’ most elite athletes with international competitions, recruiting camps, and ongoing youth programs. Visitors are invited to tour the state-of-the-art facility, or experience the action first-hand with passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and skeleton rides (winter only) down part of the 1,450 meter-long ice track.

Summer Bobsleigh runs daily from July 1 until September 4, 2016!

Throughout the summer season, Daily Tours are offered at 11:00am.

Athlete training on ice will start again in October 2016, public Bobsleigh and Skeleton programs will resume in December 2016.

Year-round, visitors can access the Whistler Sliding Centre's public areas for Sightseeing daily from 9am until 5pm. Site access is not permitted outside these hours.

Ok, had planned to do this elsewhere thru USA & luckily come across the summer bobsleigh at Whistler. This was on my list of things to do & if we hadn't experienced it here we would've missed out due to travel delays. Was a good experience and very interesting, unbelievable of how big it really is in real life compared... More

We got there the last day before they closed the bob sled for the summer, before they get ready for the winter season. It was informative and the bob sled ride goes by very quickly. They tell you to move your body with the bob sled, however its impossible and you head gets banged around...and you do wear a helmet.... More

We took a tour in the summer of 2009 of the sliding center. It is very impressive and gave good information about the sliding sports. We visited Whistler again this summer and was thrilled to see the public sliding options. It was a fun ride with some more good information as part of the tour. A fun family outing! The... More

Since the winter Olympics are my favorite of all sporting events to watch, this was a must check off my list item. It is fun and just left me wanting to come back in the winter to watch the World Cup.

Summer & winter bobsledding We dropped in to see the Bob Sled course and it was interesting. They have one at the entrance to the office that you can sit in as well a podium to stand at. Inside they have a sample of the different modes of transport and are happy to explain them all to you. There is... More

Not only did we get a chance to walk down the track on the public tour, we then got to go for a ride down an Olympic track in a bobsleigh. This was a highlight of our trip to Whistler and I can't recommend it enough. Our guide on the public tour was so informative and knowledgable, and the experience... More

The track was not yet open for visitors to try the bobsleds, but it was race day when we were there. Thrilling to see an international junior event whizzing by on the track! Very much worth a visit, whether or not you can get in a sled yourself.

I loved luge and bobsled - awesome instructors make it a super informative and exciting experience. What a track! Fastest in the world, and great scenery. Trees, mountains and speed.
