The colours really capture the beauty when set in the wilderness setting. Even with blowing snow there is a special majesty. A great opportunity for photographers to capture the different feelings with different lighting conditions.

Spending a leisurely afternoon strolling about Thompson introduced travelers to the many forms artists' use of the wolf sculptures. Walks are well maintained and scenic, a well spent afternoon's stroll.

I really like the walk of Spirit Way! You can get a map of Spirit Way walk/trail from the Heritage Museum. The wolf statues are beautiful!! They're everywhere!! I saw so many different colors on them. Very nice excursion in Thompson!

Walked the “Spirit Way” 1.25 mile walking route of 16 points of interest about the city of
Thompson’s heritage and industry as well as wolf sculptures. Don’t miss the 86’ x 62’ photo mural image “Wolf Sketch” at Highland Tower on the side of a 10-story building near the Heritage North Museum. Prepare for lots of mosquitos. A number of... More

The CIty of Thompson (and a couple of others) did encourage volunteer groups to color casts from a wolve, which you can find now everywhere in Manitoba and especially in Thompson. Unfortunately, the plaques mounted to the sculptures, did not tell a lot about the piece of art .... So, one is completely left to oneself in commenting and interpreting... More

A vision to bring new life to Thompson led to it becoming the "Wolf Capital of the World." A 10 story mural of Batemans wolf, and a beautiful sel-guided walking trail, the Spirit Walk with 24, five foot high wolf statues are truly fantastic. It is worth the drive to get to Thompson.
