The Dam is a Dam, and carries withi it all of the controversies associated with its presence and function. However, the drive from Fredericton is very nice and it is quite enjoyable and relaxing to drive around the area and . Not a unique experience, but a nice change of pace and insight into the region.

I came there in mid-November though the water was shallow however still can image the large scale of the project. The road comes across one side is the damp and the other side is the reservoir make the feeling stunning. Half day picnic or short visit is suitable for this attractive place.

The place is simply going to give at any moment, and it needs to go. Honestly, I probably wouldn't make it a day-trip to see, but the experience of driving over it at least once is something to do.

The dam is a great place to eat a picnic lunch, with friends or alone. It's close to Fredericton and a nice day excursion. The only downside is seeing the aging infrastructure which is depressing.

Dam is about 15 miles West of Fredericton downtown. Takes 20-30 minutes to get there depending on traffic. You can drive across the dam. There is a one hour free tour inside the dam which is interesting. A chance to see a big dam up close and personal. The dam is aging uncomfortably, and plans are to decommission it by... More

Not very large in comparisons with other dams we have visited. Poor condition and really not worth visiting. However, beautiful scenery on route with some breathtaking views.

I am not sure how this is considered an attraction. It is a concrete eye sore in an otherwise beautiful river valley. We drove by today and even stopped to look at it and it is pitiful. For a more interesting experience, drive from it up river and look for evidence of the towns that its construction drowned (highway bridges... More
