We were there in June last year..when it was in full moon phase. Tides were high & raging..& the River was flowing fast... Best to see & watch when there are surfers making a trip down the River..but still worth sing the trial bore even if no one is on the river..The noise is intense at times.. A real sight... More

If you are expecting a quick rush of water as the tide comes in...you will be disappointed as it more or less trickles in. It is interesting to see the muddy banks and they have a very nice walkway along the river with some statues and lots of benches to sit and enjoy the scenery.

to me it just seemed like a dirty river. Maybe I was there at the wrong time, i'm not sure what I was expecting to happen though. Athough it did seem like the river was flowing one way one day and the opposite way another day. strange.

Highest tides from the great Bay of Fundy as it flows through the Petitcodiac River. Follow the boardwalk through downtown Moncton to Dieppe. Popular with tourista and locals alike. Most popular during Spring, Summer and Fall.

Very neat experience to watch the tidal bore flow into the downtown core. Very nice to have a safe, cleared off boardwalk along the river, a really great activity to do.

Watch the tidal bore tide roll up its not a huge wave but its still very interesting. So much in fact there has been a few people come and surf the bore. Downtown Moncton, walking trail to enjoy.

Moncton's Tidal Bore is a unique global phenomena, but it's only really interesting when you know the backstory. If you're planning to bring kids, explain it to them in advance.
