Saint John was our first major stop on exploring the maritime. So we came to check out the Market square, quite an interesting place. What can you expect...well a lot! They have the waterfront, a mini light house, a very nice mall with art, decorations, fountains inside...plus if you are lucky they do festivals there as well.

This is a nice area. There is a small mall with interior walkways if there is poor weather. There are several places to eat, shop, and even swim! But if you are looking for places to eat I would avoid the area just due to high cost of the food.

We were in Market Square coming and going to dine and to the museum while visiting St. John. We loved the street art, especially the tall "clock" with sculpture "people" seated at its base. The entire area is inviting.

Market square is a gorgeous place to visit! It feels more like a gallery mall in the UK than just a collection of stores and restaurants. An added bonus is the fantastic New Brunswick museum and the library, which I highly recommend. With plenty to do and see, please take advantage of going to Market Square!

Always fun to go here on a Saturday morning. Love the different types of food. I always try something different. I do not recommend going to the wild carrot unless you like having a wrap with 4 pounds of spinach and 2 ounces of chicken. The little Korean place is pretty stellar though.

We visited the City Market and then followed the underground passage leading to the Market Square. What a lovely venue for the people of Saint John with the Library, Museum and shops as well as restaurants so readily available in one place.

Checked this place out while on business. You can go through the market from the Hilton without even going outside by using all the downtown pedways. Lots of nice stores, shops and restaurants within the market.

Nice shopping area on the waterfront. Largest library in the city, New Brunswick Museum, Trade and Convention Center, lots of places to eat and it's connected to a hotel. Market Square offers you shopping, dining, offices, entertainment, and culture all in one place. From Market Square you can walk all the way to the Saint John City Market without having... More

Not a great mall, but if you're in the area anyway, a decent place for a stroll. The statues near the entrance provided a fun photo op for our party of six who had just come off a cruise ship. This was a place we could kill a little time while awaiting the time of a tour, but not much... More

Breezed through this property on our way to the Loyalist House. A little local mall with a library, housing the New Brunswick museum, some restaurants and a Tim Hortons. Has a cute little inner courtyard with fake fall flowers and tables. Fine spot to rest a bit or get out of the cold wind.
