Just a brisk walk up the Signal Hill and called into the Geo Centre on way down. It was full of good exhibits on geology, energy oil industry, story in pictures of the Titanic disaster 380kms away. My favourite was a beautiful piece of translucent blue Labradorite.

Pleasantly surprised with the displays and information provided. Very eye catching and interesting. Enjoyed learning about the province, our land formations and the solar system.

The permanent "Titanic" is worth the price of admssion, and presents a factual, objective, entirely accurate analysis of the totally avoidable tragedy. Other exhibits about the geology, geography, off shore oil production, etc are all worth viewing...spend at least 3 hours here, more if you view the films.

A very modern looking structure that houses some very impressive exhibits about everything from how Newfoundland and Labrador were formed to outer space. It included much information about the Geology of the area and the how, what, where and why. Several short films and interactive displays also added to the overall experience. A very enjoyable visit. There are elevators which... More

If you love rocks and the formation of land billions of years old then this is a great place to visit. Wonderful for children to understand how land was formed and the significance of the Continental shift in Newfoundland.

We came for a short look-in and stayed 'til closing and then came back the next morning. The guides are wonderful in their knowledge and presentations, and the displays are brilliant examples of what educational centres can provide.

take in the movie there are a few short ones and a longer one for 20 min in the main theatre. Good displays and like that the rock is exposed and gives a feeling of being there. The titanic area could be more informative rather than fact to myth, approach. Good areas with rocks and some hands on for kids.... More

We spent a whole afternoon here. Great place to be when it is raining outside. We took in the 3D movie, and went through all the exhibits. Our 4 year old got a little tired of us trying to read everything that there was to see. But overall he enjoyed it. There is a play place for the kids to... More
