The Rooms is a place for all of us: for those who live here and those who want to experience it fully. Part sanctuary, part showcase, part classroom and part playground, it’s both a destination and a journey. This is a gathering place, a creative space and a cultural centre as distinct and unique as Newfoundland and Labrador. It is our place to come together, to create meaningful and memorable experiences. It is our place to share the best of who we are.

The practical room was set up so the children could map out a sandbox and dig up artifacts. They were so interested and excited.

A must to visit in St.Johns, it is a very interesting museum & art gallery. It holds a lot of historic archives. It also has a lovely restaurant, with a beautiful view of St.John’s harbour.

The restaurant offers great views of the harbour, signal hill and surrounding areas. A modest menu but the food is very good although not inexpensive. I had the fish tacos (yummy) and my partner had the cod tongues (excellent)! I couldn’t’t help but be disappointed...More

I found the war museum the best. Lots of emotion as you experience it. I’m not sure how often the disparate change. I understand there is a great restaurant there but I did not try it.

We spent many hours here learning something of the Newfoundland history. We curated with interesting displays. Also enjoyed a very good meal in the restaurant.

Loved exploring the history halls on my own here. Incredible views over the harbour, which you can see without a ticket to the museum. Would send my friends!
