This little country gallery is beautiful and full of local art, including the owner's pieces. It was a fun and unexpected place to visit on a road trip through Nova Scotia. As well, I came away with a couple pieces of original artwork. Well worth a browse!

Thank you karen for your visit and for taking the time to review Old Barn Gallery on Trip Advisor. It's most appreciated as we are definitely a "hidden" gem. Thank goodness for Trip Advisor and GPS. -- The interesting thing is that so many people enjoy the experience of finding us at the end of our country road. Thank you... More

Very nice people, wide selection of interesting local art. It was very interesting to see all the local art that was on display in many different forms alongside paintings. Very beautiful place to stop.

Thank you, Natalie, for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. It would be impossible to tell you how much your review and all the others mean to us at Old Barn Gallery. We are definitely "a hidden gem" - despite our efforts at advertising and road signs, it's Trip Advisor that most of our out of town... More

The gallery was an amazing find. Out on an adventure we found this beautiful gallery. It had a sense of peace. The workers were lovely people and we have the chance to talk to one of the painters who was welcoming and informative. The building itself was spectacular and had a great country vibe. The local art was plentiful and... More

The abundant Old Barn Gallery signage makes finding this country gem easy. The gallery features a nice variety of items, including paintings, sculptures and antiques.and the setting is lovely. A plethora of flowers on the patio in front of the vast gallery invites visitors to sit while taking in the beautiful surroundings and the ever-changing array of merchandise make this... More

... go, otherwise skip. Antiques were virtually non existent, not sure why it's in any way advertised as an antique store?

At Old Barn Gallery, we are always looking for customer's responses to all that we offer, so thank you for offering your thoughts. I'm sorry we weren't "what you expected", as to antiques, but, frankly, we are first and foremost an Art Gallery. I include antiques in amongst the paintings and sculpture in mcuh the same way I include them... More

My wife, teen daughter, and I were on our way back from Cape Breton and were looking for a fun, halfway stop on our way back to the Western Shore. We landed at the Old Barn Gallery and instantly fell in love with the place. Carol, the owner, spent about 45 minutes with us chatting about art, antiques, and her... More

Hello, Thank you very much for reviewing Old Barn Gallery & Boutique. It's people like you who appreciate small, entrepreneurial businesses that make it possible for us to continue in our "out of the way" locations. For us, it's only 12 min. from the wonderfully vibrant university town of Antigonish. 12 min. on the highway, turn left at EXIT 35B,... More

I spent a delightful hour or so with the owner, Carol, and her assistant, Sally today--along with a quick "hello" with Ed, resident artist and all round handy-person, I gather. The people and the four-legged residents (felines Bella and Drew and the two Fjords--one 30 years old, the other her 16 year old son) are a treat. The site is... More

Hello Tammy, I am sorry you were disappointed in our Old Barn Gallery. The one thing I must take exception to are your comments on The Carriage House Boutique. The tops and handbags we carry are most definitely not 1970s and 80s. Much more like 2012 - 2015. Yard sale items? . . . . Well, perhaps in an extremely... More
