We heard about this museum from our taxi driver. We really enjoyed the hour or two it took us to walk around. The parrot Merlin was a highlight. He says his name!! I also grew up watching Theodore the tugboat so seeing the exhibit on...More

As a US resident, I learned a lot about American history here as well as ship building and the great rescue and recovery effort for the Titanic. Great regional museum.7

Lots of maritime related exhibits here in addition to the Titanic and Halifax Explosion exhibits. Watch woodworking of artifact replicas or try your hand at Morse Code. A decent movie about the Titanic. There is an economical family pass.

Learning about the many ships and of course the Titanic made me feel sad learning about the many thousands of people who lost their lives in the many different waterways. Lots of history to learn ! Great demonstrations and replicas of the original structures. Charles...More

Proceed to the second floor where they have the Titanic Exhibits. You could spend easily a day in this museum if you are fond of ships and maritime history. Worth at least an hour or two of your time when visiting Halifax.

Nice museum. Had a great exhibit on the Halifax explosion and the Titanic. Nice display of model ships. Well laid out with great descriptors. Spend extra $4 to tour the Sackville, well worth it (military get in to the Sackville free).

I never cease to be amazed. The TItanic exhibit is both chilling an inspiring. The sailboats of all sizes. Ship paraphenalia on the second floor. I know I will visit a fourth time.
