We stumbled upon this church when we were wandering the streets of Halifax so stopped to have a look, given the exterior was so beautiful....and the beauty extended into the interior as well.

A beautiful Basilica and a thriving church. Lots of seating but pillars obstruct the view. The church body is multi-generational and multi-racial; good to see. The building is beautiful both inside and out. Historical

Happened upon this and were glad we did. Beautiful church, lovely stained glass. Spoke to staff person who was great with facts about the church. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful church in historic Halifax. Fairly recent construction (for Canada) but good to visit. Try to find a quiet time to enjoy and learn about the history of hte place.

..we enjoyed a brief stroll around the Basilica, and found it to be very serene, almost pristine, and with wonderful glass windows. I guess we’ve been spoilt with some of the Basilicas we’ve been to, such as Montreal’s, and it wasn’t up to that standard...More

We popped in to escape the heat and found ourselves in the middle of an about-to-begin wedding - embarrassing! Slipped into the side prayer area that was open to the public and being the good Catholic that I am, lit my candle and contemplated life...More
