Fisherman's Cove is a quaint 200 year old fishing village. It offers visitors a peek into the past while providing a variety of modern day activities for the whole family. It has the sounds of the ocean, seagulls, and sand pipers. Stroll the boardwalk and relax in the sand at MacCormack's Beach. Catch a glimpse of the osprey and herons as they enjoy fishing off the beach. Watch fishing boats come home with their catch and sail boats drift by as they enter the Halifax Harbour through the eastern passage.

Good waterside walk

A good walk by the sea with the Cruise Ship terminal at one end. Plenty of places to eat and drink as you go.

I really enjoyed the area and all the small shops, I really enjoyed the fish and chip restaurant. I can say it was the freshest and most delicious fish and chips I have ever tasted. The prices were great and people were by far the nicest and friendliest I have met and thank you Paul McNeil from Historical Titanic and... More

We happen to live in Halifax so we travel to Fisherman's Cove via boat. It is a lovely area with local craft shops and a few small take out restaurants. Some food shops have picnic tables so you can enjoy the ocean views. The craft shops are reasonably priced and if the weather is right this can be a lovely... More

It's only 15 minutes from Dartmouth's ferry terminal. Located in Eastern Passage a local fishing community just minutes from Dartmouth and Halifax. Has a great Boardwalk, 2 restaurants and a lot of shops selling their local products.

We love going here in the summer and getting icecream and then going out on the boardwalk to the beach for some beachcombing. There is always something interesting on the beach. Sunsets are awesome and the tides are impressive.

Nice to see away from the hustle and bustle of city and you can just walk your cares away. Beautiful shoreline and great to see the real Nova Scotia.

A really nice place to spend an hour or two checking out the quirky little shops which carry all sorts of interesting items. Great place to grab some gifts or souvenirs.
