We came in off-season with our family but even in the cold the boardwalk is a delight. I can imagine it must be such a pleasure in the summer! The investment shows and it is a gorgeous area. We hope to come back soon.

This is a great addition to the Halifax harbourfront. I stayed at the Westin and you can walk along the Boardwalk from Halifax Harbour for a couple of kms. There are restaurants, patios and shops to visit. Ferries are available and the Waterfront scenery is...More

We spent quite some time checking out shops and restaurants along the boardwalk, it was a great way to see the city and enjoy the waterfront. The boardwalks were clean and being an overcast day not too crowded which was awesome.

Went with everyone after going to the Saturday market. Very windy but got a lot of good photos of us all together!

Scenic, walking friendly area, lots of things to see and do! Even if you are just into people watching, this is the spot for you on a nice day. Try a Beaver Tail pastry, a cold beverage, a delicious ice cream or a full meal!

You can have a very pleasant experience with family & friends, walking the boardwalk. Assuming the weather cooperates, that is. But you have the option of both outside-in-the-weather experience of a very large bay area. Along with the option of ducking into a number of...More

It can be windy and cold but the boardwalk is easy to navigate. It is mostly wood and weaves around a bit. Easy to access at multiple points it provides great views of the harbour.

Yes. People walk their dogs on the boardwalk quite often. they have to be on a leash and you must, of course, pick ul after them. If your dog is cute (and aren't they all?) be prepared for the occasional petter.
