It is free to walk to the lighthouse, but you do need to get a Guest Pass from the gate on your way in. It's about a mile walk from the gate to the lighthouse; an easy flat walk along the road, and completely accessible...More

You'll see some of the best views along this stretch of Lake Erie and the lighthouse is beautiful. If you get the opportunity to take an official tour, do so! BUT this is a gated community. It feels like an American enclave on Canadian soil....More

Although the Point Abino lighthouse is a Canadian treasure and designated a National Historic site, it is now part of a gated community and viewing the lighthouse is limited to a few week-ends in the summer and then to just a few hours each day....More
