Awful

Vendors are great.City staff arrogant, ridiculous to block off street parking to
Market clients, no place to drop off clients safely, no public wash rooms available
on site.Absolutely disgusting that CITY HALL have not provided an appropriate
accessible, larger site to promote Guelphs agricultural heritage and market
experience..It’s an embarrassment , especially after more than 100 years history,
strong agricultural history, college .It could be an example of a proud heritage, an
event for family and visitors, more vendors to enhance people friendly ,rural communities.
I am totally embarrassed by Guelph Market.

If your looking to-do something on the weekend, the Farmers Market in the place to go. Lots of vendors with unique things to sell. From fresh produce to awesome goodies. Nice Cream and Waffles is my favorite stand, delicious vegan waffles and other fun creations.

Great little market - a bit offbeat
Jun 2018 • Couples
We have been going to the Guelph Farmers’ Market since we went to university here many years ago. All of the reviews are true: it is small, can be crowded, may lack fresh produce in some months - when local producers don’t have fresh produce, seems like a cross between a flea market and a farmers market, has all kinds of ready to eat food of multiple cultures for sale. BUT it is authentic and local and great. We bought goat chèvre from a local goat dairy, sauerkraut from the local Mennonite community, cider from a local apple producer and Caribbean curry from a bottled curry paste vendor. We talked to lots of vendors about their wares - and sampled many of them. We stopped by the University of Guelph booth where several enthusiastic young scientists were prepared to engage children - and others - in activities about how animals hide themselves. We could have bought local meat, local produce, native plants, pet treats, ice cream, baked goods including some of the best cinnamon buns ever, local eggs, many types of crafts, and treasures too numerous to list. We love it.

variety
Mar 2018 • Solo
Lots of cooked foods (anything from Vietnamese rice paper rolls to artisan ice-cream, with moussaka and sandwiches fro mains) and some fresh veggies & fruits (incl. apple cider). There are a few tables (4-6 per table) to dine-in.

There are some handicrafts also --- and apparently dog biscuits (see picture).

More Farmers Needed
Nov 2017 • Couples
We visited on a cold and windy day in November. There were two vegetable stands outside with very little produce. Inside it was busy enough but lacked something. Maybe it was the fact that there seemed to be more gift and specialty vendors then farm producers. We have been to better farmer markets. We will have to try again in the spring.

A local farmers market that offers fresh produce, meats, cheese, flowers, fruit, vegetables.A place to mingle, to meet friends for a coffee or croissant on a Saturday morning while purchasing your next future meal.

This is not a "farmers market" it is a "FLEA MARKET"
Oct 2017 • Solo
I kept hearing great reviews about this market prior to moving here but have been consistently disappointed with the lack of local, sustainable and organic farmers at this market. There is not ONE certified organic farmer here now BUT, if you want to buy some crappy nick nack or dollar store jewellery well you're in luck!! The lack of fresh, local, non pesticide produce here is appalling and I have talked to vendors who have left saying it is just too poorly run. Time for a change Guelph farmers market!!!! Once all the elderly people who frequent the market now are gone you won't be able to attract the younger crowd who support and demand local organic farmers.

True Farm and small town experience

The best thing about this place is the friendly and simple smiles of the vendors here. They don't push you to buy rather they are generous in sampling. We bought a lot of fresh fruit and veggies. Fun place to be in nice weather

It's an Experience. Generous Samples. Wide Variety of Goods
Sep 2016 • Solo
The best thing about it is that everyone is handing you samples so one tour around the market and you've had a meal. Busy place. Lots to look at. Buskers outside to listen to. A Community place. Nice that Guelph has this.
