It's very nice at the bay front to go for a walk or take your kids to the park. They have car shows in the summer that's aways always good turn out.

Unfortunately I don't think January/February is the best time to visit Hamilton but being blessed with one sunny day, I could not resist a trip to the harbourfront. Apart from some fishermen fishing on part of the frozen lake, there was hardly a sole around...More

whenever our grand daughter visits this is added to the days plans. Summer or winter its a good place to pass some time and then over to Williams coffee pub for hot chocolates.

WOW. I did not know Hamilton had a beautiful area like this let alone to be located in the Port area of Hamilton. Clean well organized and has Skate Rentals too! Don't miss this area!

Pier 4 is great, lots to do for families with small children, couples looking for a romantic stroll, or friends looking for somewhere to go on a warm day. Certain parts don't feel as landscaped as in Bayfront Park but that's part of the charm.

I don't remember seeing picnic tables but there are benches close to the path and a pavilion. If you go west towards Bayfront Park, you will find picnic areas there.
