Hi. Just wanted to give everyone the heads up that the female Red-winged Blackbirds have returned to Lake Aquitaine = male Red-winged Blackbirds going completely nuts, pecking the back of people's heads, pecking dogs and pecking squirrels. Yep, Spring is in the air. Ha Ha! :D Lots of birds around and pretty soon there should be some butterflies as well... More

I grew up in Meadowvale and attended St.Elizabeth Seton elementary school and then Our Lady of Mount Carmel Secondary as a teen. My parents still live in the area and have now for 40+ years. As a kid, I can remember riding the winding bike paths around neighbouring Lake Wabukayne and then following the trails to Lake Aquitaine. Many days... More

I walk around the lake and there is so much nature around and it's so tranquil. There is a step on water park for the kids and the paths are wonderful to walk along. Never felt unsafe walking and listening to music on my own.

We've lived in Meadowvale area for 25 years. This was one attraction for walking in winter, spring summer and fall, cycling with the children, group get together and some social activities such as spring and summer outdoor concerts. This park connects you with miles of walks among beautiful nature walks yey you are in the midst of the Great Meadowvale... More

Lake Aquitaine Park is a greenspace within the community of Meadowvale in Mississauga built around a storm water management lake (water originates from storm sewers in the surrounding urban area). A multi-use, paved trail (approximately 3.4 kilometers long) runs south from Derry Road through the scenic park. Pedestrian walkways branch off from the trail through the neighbourhoods connecting schools and... More

Once the Spring is here and we go almost everyday for a walk. Whether you just walk, jog, ride a bike or walk your best 4 legged friend, you will find it very enjoyable. It is one of the reasons why we stay in the neighborhood.

This is a fake lake created to provide a bit of a green space out in Meadowvale. There are parks there and it's a nice enough place to hang out on the weekend but I wouldn't go swimming as I don't think it's designed for that.

I live in the area and visit Lake Aquitaine almost daily. There's a huge multi-use trail which is ideal for walking, jogging, bikes, in-line skates, strollers & wheelchairs. There is also a fishing dock and outdoor fitness stations around the lake. It is popular year-round. Beautiful scenery and lots to do, including a large park, soccer fields and sprinkler pads...
