Owned by the City of Oshawa, and managed by Spectra Venue Management, the Tribute Communities Centre opened in 2006 with a project cost of $45 million. As Durham Region’s premier Sports and Entertainment Facility, the Tribute Communities Centre provides a first-class home to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League and the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame. The venue also boasts an in-house restaurant, Prospects Bar & Grill, which is open typically 2 hours prior to live and sporting events as well as throughout the week for the Durham Central Adult Hockey League (DCAHL). Since opening, the Tribute Communities Centre has hosted major concerts and special events including Elton John, Cirque du Soleil, 2011 BDO Canadian Open, IIHF World Junior Pre-Competition, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Hedley, Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships, Selena Gomez and The Wiggles; just to name a few!

Lots of things go on here, concerts hockey games stand up comedians childs live shows. Ive been to several hockey games and concerts here. the seats almost always good no matter where they are, and Tickets are normally reasonably priced as well.

The game was delayed but when it started it was pure heaven. It was very interesting and most special when kids about 6-10 yrs old were singing to stopin tom conners the good old hockey game. They knew the words, I was amazed.

Great place to see a concert. Friendly staff and security. Not a bad seat in the arena. Much better than the bigger venues.

Went to see Dallas Smith in concert and there is not a bad seat in the arena at all. Easy to navigate. Concession prices are not too bad compared to the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Will definitely attend more concerts here.

Check out our in-house restaurant - Prospects Bar & Grill. Open 2 hours before the concert. Highly recommending calling in advance to make reservations.
