Great area to walk around and enjoy the scenery and peacefulness. Various easy family things to do. Kids can run around freely and has two playgrounds. Peonies are beautiful during the festival.

We came specifically for the Peony Festival and it was just as advertised only better! Beautiful gardens along with a good assortment of arts and crafts and food vendors. Great location along the Oshawa Creek and an easy walk from our hotel in downtown Oshawa....More

We have not got a single negative comment to make. Exceptional gardens. Accessible paths. No smoking near the multiple childrens playgrounds. Walking path to the baseball diamond with great stadium seating and a concession stand. Lots of street parking as well as a parking lot...More

Try a nice relaxing stroll along the paths and enjoy the folege, fountains and flowers. The grounds are well maintined for everyone to enjoy. Pack a picnic lunch and sit along side the creek. This is a great place for little ones to cool off...More

I love this place. Even when the peony festival is not in season, there are still plenty of flowers to see. Well laid out and a great place to take photos for a special occasion.

There were no gates to get into the Botanical Gardens, so I don't think there would be any open/close times. You should be able to visit whenever you like. It's a public space.
