When you visit Parkwood Estates it is like stepping back in time! The tour of Parkwood is a guided tour with historical antidotes and it brings out the charm and opulence of an earlier era of the Home of R.S. McLaughin (founder of GM Canada) & his family. You will actually tour 30 of the 55 rooms in the home... More

All visitors to my home get taken to Sir Sam's home - Parkwood. Great in the summer months as the gardens are beautiful with lots of colour and fragrance, I believe you can walk the gardens for free, a beautiful and relaxing summer afternoon.. Many tv/movies have been made on these grounds. You can take a guide tour through the... More

I was part of a guided tour throughout this magnificent property. I have lived in Oshawa many years, have attended many weddings on the grounds, yet had never taken an actual tour of the entire estate. The guide was terrific, very informative and open to any questions we had. The grounds are breathtaking, especially in the summer. The mansion itself... More

A GREAT place to visit. A lot of history here. Beautiful in the summer months with the gardens. Several movies have been held at this location, and many wedding in the summer months. A very important part of Oshawa's history.

Great period mansion - many advancements in comfortable living for the times. Tours can be arranged. Beautiful grounds and activities throughout the year. Oshawa's hidden gem.

We were there in the fall after the blooms were off the roses. The garden was pretty well spent. The Mansion was well maintained bar a few worn carpets. It was a good tour. The guide was well-informed. A nice way to wile away an afternoon.

Beauty afternoon I had relatives from Arizona visiting. Strolling leisurely through the grounds was a total delight. I feel the mansion and grounds are very mystical while walking you can almost feel yourself being transported back in time. We spent a couple of hours just outside loving nature. I say it every year, I want to bring my girls with... More
