It's a really nice place to go for a walk. There are trails on both sides of the canal. It's also a little bit cooler than the rest of Ottawa in the summer.

The canal is long and has various places where you can sit and relax along with the locks which is neat to see the boats go thru. Stroller accessible and family friendly. A wonderful part of Ottawa.

The walk along the canals was beautiful, and provided an opportunity to see some amazing architecture and well maintained pathways. It was a lovely way to spend the day with the family .

Amazing to watch how the canal works. You can be up & close & can ask questions the employees. They told me they can go up & down up to 9 times a day. Wow. All hand operated.

A must-see on any trip to Ottawa. The Canal very long-it goes all the way to Kingston- but you can get to it right by the Parliament Buildings. It makes for a nice walk!
