It's cool to say you have seen it, and really you do get pretty close but it is hard to see behind all the trees and the fence, also he's not living there now.... but its right across from the Governor General's house so worth...More

If you are lucky (or the cops are a little off) you can as we did get caught inside the motorcade. This is cool and terrifying as the former occupantt bought some intimidating Black SUVs

as part of a city tour of Ottawa .Being fall the leaves are beginning to change colour so the gardens are looking beautiful .You can visit the front door on Halloween apparently and the Prime minister will give out treats to children .

There's no public access to 24 Sussex and you can barely make out structures from the street in the summer. Trees and shrubs in the way. Peer through the fence, wave to the PM, and then go visit Rideau Hall and grounds across the street.

The Official Prime Minister's Residence is enclosed by a large gate guarded by police officers. Don't visit the Prime Minister, visit his neighbour the Governor General.
