Lots of cafés open early with a variety of boutiques opening up mid-morning. The walk is especially interesting between Glebe Street and the canal.

Neat stores, on the bus route, places to sit and people watch. If you walk west from Bank St .along Glebe Ave you get into a really lovely neighbourhood, big old houses, interesting gardens.

For visitors: Don't bother unless you are passing through. Cute shops? Nope. The Shops at TDplace -- nope unless you like Winners or Lcbo or Whole Foods. Note: sometimes there events worth seeing a TDplace. Otherwise, the Glebe is a wasteland for tourists or visitors....More

I went through the week so maybe this place is more interesting on the weekend? There is a fabulous vegan restaurant and a neat paper store but other than that nothing special.

Watch for the June date & visit for a fun day. It's enjoyable to walk around the tree lined streets especially when summer flowers are in full bloom.

The weekend we visited their was a huge outdoor art show going on. Combined with countless restaurants to choose from, it made for a lovely Sunday of brunch and walking in the park looking at art. A great and dynamic neighbourhood.

The Glebe and Bank Street are one of our very favourite places to visit and I think a must when one is in Ottawa. There are so many wonderful restaurants and bars to eat and drink and most of them open to the outside or...More

This is one of Ottawa's more eclectic neightbourhoods. Those looking for something a little more offbeat are likely to find it here rather in the city's center (which is not far away either.) Most of the points of interest lie on Bank Street, even if...More

I'm late with my answer but they are always open on Sunday - since Canada Day is Saturday, that wouldn't effect anything. But I think they are also now in a tourist zone so can be open for stats as well.
