We have been subscribers for years. Sometimes, the plays are uneven in quality and some years are better than others. But it is always great to be exposed to Canadian content and Canadian actors. There are lots of great little restaurants around the theatre so it is a lovely way to have our "date night". Parking is free. Performers put... More

Love the GCTC! I used to go to the old theatre and love the new space - keeps the intimacy but with better amenities and beautiful lobby and gallery. I love that they put on new Canadian plays and get a yearly subscription when I can.

The Theatre has finally found a home suitable to its new profile in the city. A great space (two in fact) to showcase theatrical talent. The main theatre has a great 2013 / 2014 program thanks to it new director and the Undercurrents fringe theatre productions are always excellent. A super place to take in a show, the staff are... I have been both to the old GCTC and the new one and I am glad that experimental theatre has found its place in our town. This is a wonderful addition to the cultural scene.

Great place to take in a show. Small and intimate theatre. Great shows! Have never been disappointed there yet. I am glad this theatre has survived. Always great to have a vibrant arts scene in any city!

We are subscribers and go to several shows at this theatre every year. It is close enough to downtown Ottawa for tourists to get to. The plays are always interesting and often very memorable. Give it a try!

Over the years I have seen a number of performances at the GCTC. I love this theatre, it is quite accessible too (10 minutes walk from Transitway, parking nearby, etc.). I have yet to walk away from a performance disappointed and can always count on the GCTC to have interesting performances.

GCTC has been an institution in Ottawa theatre for many years, but the new facility on Wellington St. is a big upgrade over their old digs on Gladstone. Still small, there are no bad seats in this comfortable theatre. Great sound, excellent lighting. We saw the excellent three-person play East of Berlin, which was a thought-provoking story about the son... More
