Be ready for a 7 hour train ride and about an hour of walking and exploring the forest. If you can tolerate that, you are in for a treat. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous, definitely a must see. I would highly recommend to do the train ride either during the fall or winter.

Took the train ride at the end of September. The train route is very scenic. The journey started at 8am and we returned around 6pm. Since it was not yet the beginning of Fall, we did not see many colors. In spurts during the journey we did see beautiful views though. It is a long journey. I would not recommend... More

Drive the highway up to Wawa or around Lake. Just way too boring, tourists makes it crowded Of course you can't compare to the Canadian rockies to Ontario in all fairness, and I always wanted to take a train ride and eat on train( bad food overpriced of course) but in the fall hopefully we can do the Bruce peninsula... We went for the fall colors the end of September and maybe were just a week early but as you went farther north, fall color did improve. MY RECOMMENDATION is to sit on the RIGHT side of the train when leaving the station. Overall, you get more views from the right side especially lake views and fall color. You are... More

I agree wholeheartedly with Anna B's review. My husband and I booked and paid full price three months in advance. We were told that we would be in the added train cars but the only difference would be no overhead monitors for the front of the engine camera.

thought the first week of Oct was early but colours seen from the train were beautiful. the stop in the canyon wasn't colourful but the falls were definitely a site to see. Loved the fact they sold local beer on the train - expensive but no more than Molson products. Nothing stopping you from bringing your own food / drink... More

Ok, I went on the NGH Tour bus (which was awful-that is another story). On this tour the customers had to pay for the Agawa Canyon Tour Train. The cost was $123.00 CDN. I saw all the beautiful pictures of the train and was so very excited. The bus tour was awful. When the day came to take the Agawa... More

The day started out with low fog that soon burned away to reveal the beautiful colours of fall. The sun made the colours amazing. While at the canyon, we walked to the Black Beaver falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. Both amazing creations of nature. Tried the local beer, Northern Superior Brewing. that was being served. Give them a try,... More

My husband and I really enjoyed this trip. Beautiful scenery! Unfortunately, it started raining when we were in the canyon so we didn't venture too far from the train to explore the area but still got beautiful pictures. When it started raining we went to the dining car for lunch. Food is pretty good...a little pricey but you can bring... More
