A HIDDEN GEM,,,,

A good history stop here folks, the price is low, and the building brings back memories of days gone by, the artefacts are plentiful, great family spot to visit...

Enjoyed all of the exhibits especially the maps showing ships lost in the Great Lakes area. Amazing!

We toured this museum in about 90 minutes but could have spent more time reading and inspecting all the exhibits. Exhibits of interest to us were primarily on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There's a 1948 snowmobile, astonishing maps of Great Lakes shipwrecks (so many!), a lot on Sault Ste. Marie history and a section dedicated to local War Veterans.... More

A small museum with an eclectic collection. I would suggest that you do not spend much time there as the only interesting floor is the second floor. The second floor of the museum contains more history about the Sault Ste Marie, Ontario area. The first level contains various collections (eg. comics, coins, dolls, etc.) and a small area dedicated to... More

This museum has a cool selection of historic items displayed in the old post office building. I would recommend visiting this museum. Located on Queen Street in the old downtown section of the Soo. We enjoyed it!

A small but nice museum. I especially enjoyed the native exhibit. We couldn't get up to see the clocktower. Well worth the money and time.

The museum is trying hard to give you the best for your money. My husband and I enjoyed it but we are history and trivia buffs. We actually spent about 90 minutes reading and looking at the exhibits. Worth your time and little money if you like history and trivia.

I came out of this museum feeling like I had a much better sense of the history and current culture of Sault Ste. Marie. The museum is chock full of small exhibits, intelligently organized and nicely annotated.

Great museum with rooms dedicated to a number of subjects as well as a great kids area. Numerous artifacts have been donated and procured to tell the story of the Sault Saint Marie area. Very personable staff and while it is 3 stories it has a large elevator if needed. Very enjoyable experience! Very reasonable entry fees.
