We were there on one of the coldest windiest days in late September. The whole area looks like a messy unorganized property but it all has a purpose. We learned about amethyst mining and we wandered the grounds picking up a collection to take home...More

Remote area suitable to purchase and mine your own amethyst. Interesting place, but doesn't hold interest for long. Not conducive with inclement weather days.

The host/owners are very helpful and accommodating. We found some nice pieces sifting through the piles and enjoyed the energies of doing so during the solar eclipse. The price per bucket is very reasonable and it is a wonderful teaching experience to see how amethyst...More

We took an overnight trip to Canada to hit the mines and had a blast! Blue Point was the better of the two mines we visited and the cost was very fair. Got some really nice stones!! Highly recommend 😀

We were expecting a larger operation at this mine. Very friendly lady greeted us and told where we could wander to try to find some rocks/stones.

Roads are good. Only about a kilometre of gravel when you leave the paved highway to the mine. There were other campers at the mine when I was there.
