For a decade now, Lula Lounge distinguished itself as Toronto’s home for groundbreaking Latin, Jazz and World Music. Our audience reflects our programming - The crowd at Lula is one of the most diverse, friendly, and multi-generational and multi-ethnic crowds in the city, what ties them together is love of music, having a good time, drinking, dinning and dancing!Friday and Saturday night Lula presents the city's top Salsa bands, Djs and Dance Instructors. The friendly beginner's lesson is great way to break the ice, no partner necessary. For a great night out the $49 package is recommend, it includes a 3 course dinner.Sunday's from 11-2 there's a Family Cuban Brunch with Lice Cuban music, a brunch Buffet and Dance Class. Sunday through Thursday evening you can experience anything from Chamber Music to Blues, Spoken Word to Tuvan Throat Singers, South Asian to Goth, check out ww.lula.ca for the schedule!

We went to Lula for the dinner/dance package on Saturday evening because we knew it would be a live Latin band and you can't beat a 12 piece latin band live. It's just so energetic! The 3 course meal that comes with the package is outstanding and there is plenty of menu items to choose from. We had 8 people... More

It was our last night in Toronto, and after a fabulous stay we wanted to end with a little music...our guests were partial to Latin jazz, and this was one of the first places which popped up. Well no Latin jazz that night, but the concert was fantastic with all kinds of tributes to neo soul classic artists like Jill... More

We had a reservation for 7 on a Saturday. It was quiet when we showed up, our server was great, explained everything and got us drinks right away. We ordered all 3 courses at once and everything came really quick. There was a gap between our meals and dessert which we really appreciated! My husband and I both had the... More

The menu and food is OK, the ambience is great. The crowd is young and old, very nice music and great live band. I went there for a friend's bachelorette party and took part of the salsa dance lessons which was great. I enjoyed myself.

The place is the same as 12 years ago. But the music was great with live band and dancers. It was a little long time between two performances, but for the young generation was OK with DJ-ed songs. We wanted more live. Dinner was right for the three course meal price, but for our surprise at 9:00PM there was no... More

My first time at Lula Lounge and it was fun! I don't Salsa but that didn't matter. We started the evening with dinner at Lula. The food was great. For $54 you get a 3 course meal and the choices and portions were perfect. At 9pm there was a group Salsa lesson on the dance floor. Perfect for those of... More

If it's your birthday they sing and call your name. On entry you are seated by the waitstaff. The brunch was buffet style and then dancing lessons were given while Cuban musicians played. Simply delightful.

Not even worth a 1 star rating. Service is crappie. Waited 4hrs for a table and then was told the kitchen closes as midnight not sure if we would be able to order a meal. That was the only reason we wanted a table. The hostess shows preferential treatment and not going according to her list and when you ask... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
