St. Lawrence Market is located downtown Toronto, it is very unique market very close to the financial district. You will find very unique places to eat and amazing produce items. My favorite is the cheese and bagel place, we drive down on the weekends for 40 minutes just to get our fix to the best bagel in town!

This is probably one of the best places in Toronto to get great seafood from around the globe. Since I am from Chile and we have a lot of seafood there, I was missing it a little bit and when I went to St Lawrence Market I finally found all types of salmon, tuna, among others. They also have great... More

As the title suggests, this market is certainly a bit of a tourist trap and is fully stocked for tourists with trinkets and whatnot. That being said, the architecture of the building is fantastic and worth the journey. The market sells the infamous Peameal bacon rolls, chicken parms as well as cheese, meat and maple syrup! The food isn't the... More

Great market to explore and try delicious Canadian food, wine and treats. Make sure you try a peameal bacon sandwich and bring home some Kozlik's mustard...yum!

This is a favourite place for quality meats, cheese etc. in a classic building in downlown Toronto. There are also cooking lessons, and there is even a small bar & restaurant located in one corner. Closed on Sunday and Monday.

The St Lawrence market is a large 2 floor indoor market selling a great variety of products : included is meat, produce, spices, housewares, wine and a good variety of food to each on site. Prices seemed reasonable. Do not visit on Sat morning as the market is wall to wall people. Hope this helps.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
