I booked a spa day (mid-week) celebrating my friends 50th Birthday. The online spa page had a special but after speaking with Julie, at spa reception, they hadn't updated the specials for February. ( It was already mid-Feb). The Feb special was even better so glad I asked. Our appointment was for 10 am but with the Toronto traffic we... More

Terrible experience from the beginning to the end. I booked a facial and by the time that I arrived to the spa, the staff told me that the men lockers were being used by a female group at the same time so I had to be supervised at all times while using men lockers or washrooms. The facial started 25... More

I need to write this review in recognition of Julie - one of the receptionist at the Spa. Today Julie went above and boyond to help me with a cancellation that was last minute. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances I was unable to join my party for the services we had reserved. Because my cancellation was done on short notice... More

To promote healing after having surgery three weeks ago, I visited the salt cave. The negative ions are supposed to be effective in treating respiratory problems and skin conditions and combating anxiety, insomnia and other modern malaise. The hotel could definitely use an update as it looks tired and dingy in places. That said, the salt cave was very relaxing... More

The Good This is a historic building in downtown Toronto. This is a small and intimate place. If you are looking to avoid noise and lots of people this is for you. I wasn't sharing the pool or dry sauna with groups of noisy people. It was just my partner and I. I had staff checking in on me as... More

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I did like my facial and massage, but the customer service from the moment we got in was completely unsatisfactory. They seemed uninterested in our business and generally took their sweet time when helping us. They were extremely slow and frustrating when it came time to pay; it took almost 45... More

My friends were in Toronto so I got them a gift card to the spa. The treatments they chose were manicures, pedicures, body wrap and facials between the two of them. They told me the spa was small and quaint, they're not from a big city so they enjoyed the intimate setting. However they did complain that it was old,... More

Visited the Caesars Windsor spa at windsor arms in October. The poor side of this hotel came at the spa which is not owned by the casino, it is owned, operated and leased by a hotel company from Toronto and is called the spa at windsor arms. We had a couples massage for my wife and I. Checked in 30... More

Visited the spa with my boyfriend using a groupon. The groupon included a couple's massage, salt cave session and access to the rest of the facilities (pool, sauna). We started with our massages which were VERY nice. The masseuses were both very kind and seemed very experienced. My boyfriend commented it was one of the best massages he'd ever had.... More

Had great recommendations from a friend. The place is very dated and needs repair. I had 10 minutes before my massage and wanted to use the dry sauna. The just turned it up and said it will take 10-20 minutes to work. When I went in there, loud noises were coming and I had to leave. My gown had a... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
