There were only two of us on the tour with our guide Ian, so we had a nice chat as we walked around. He was very knowledgeable but not stuffy, and it was a good pace. Some interesting details about places in the area. The St. Lawrence Market part was a lot of fun, so much food to try (I... More

My husband and I were gifted with the Danforth food tour for our birthdays and it definitely was a treat! We enjoyed the great food but I just loved getting to know more about the people, their stories and the history behind the food. Kevin is personable, really knows his stuff and definitely made us feel special for our birthdays... More

I booked a Friday morning VIP tour of St. Lawrence Market during a last minute trip to Toronto. Having never been to Toronto this was a good way of getting my feet wet in the city. I was met by my guide Ian with a greeting and a croissant. After some minor small talk waiting for the other couple booked... More

My husband & I had a fabulous day touring Edward County (Uncork the County). We loved meeting and talking to the winemakers and hearing how passionate they all are. Kevin had several surprises for us along the way which made the day even more enjoyable. Thank you Kevin!

We had the pleasure of joining guide Ian for a few fabulous hours exploring St Lawrence Market and surrounds on an early morning market Tour. Ian's knowledge of the history of the market and Toronto was incredible, stopping off to show us historical building or landmarks which otherwise may go unnoticed to a traveller and share stories of days gone... We had a wonderful evening exploring a part of the city we have never been too and sampling amazing food. Ian, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The restaurants we visited had amazing food and wonderful staff. A highlight was Udopi Palace where we got to help make dohsas. We loved the restaurants and street food we... More

Ian led a delightful tour in the rain today. His culinary background and historical knowledge maintained my enthusiasm throughout. We highly recommend a St. Lawrence Market tour with Culinary Adventures. It was a highlight of our first visit to Toronto.

We took the Little Italy tour. The group was the guide and one other couple. The tour easily accommodated dietary restrictions. The guide gave us interesting history of the area and took us to two different small Italian restaurants that were prepared for our group. Seating was immediately available and there was quite a variety of dishes in each place.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
