EdgeWalk is the "World's Highest External Walk on a Building" (Guinness World Record), a full circle hands-free walk on a 5 ft (1.5 m) wide ledge encircling the top of the Tower's main pod. Visitors walk in groups of six, while attached to an overhead safety rail via a trolley and harness system. Trained EdgeWalk guides encourage participants to push their personal limits, allowing them to lean back over Toronto with nothing but air and breathtaking views of Lake Ontario beneath them. Designed with the highest international safety and security standards in mind, EdgeWalk runs 1.5 hours, with the outdoor walk lasting approximately 30 minutes. Tickets include a keepsake video, photos and certificate of achievement. Participants also receive a CN Tower re-admission General Admission ticket + SkyPod (includes access to LookOut, Glass Floor/outdoor SkyTerrace, SkyPod Levels). EdgeWalk operates seasonally from spring to late fall, 7 days a week, and hours of operation fluctuate depending on daylight.

Scarily worth doing! Harrison was our guide, and was very encouraging, pushing us just far enough to get the most out of the experience without freaking us nervous ones out altogether. The view is amazing. You get a dvd of your experience and can buy...More

Myself and my husband completed the CN Tower Edge Walk whilst on our honeymoon and it was definetely one of our favourite parts of the trip - even with my husbands fear of heights! Toronto is absolutely beautiful and being able to view the city...More

I could talk forever about the Edge Walk...and trust me, I have. This is something you should experience for yourself. At the beginning, fear reigns supreme, but midway through confidence abounds. This allowed us to challenge fears, ourselves, and look at beautiful scenery from a...More

It was a perfectly clear day and the views were awesome! The views from the observation areas that I saw later couldn't compare. Professional and enthusiastic staff. Felt completely safe at all times.

Must do experience. We had 8 people in group - most locals like ourselves. The CN tower team makes you feel safe at all times. Scariest part is when you are at the top of the tower and the doors open - only one way...More

The leaders were very helpful and encouraging. The city looks very different from the Edge Walk. The lake looks endless and the movement of the city from way up in the air seems even busier than when you are stuck in the traffic. It was...More

Yes you can wear your own shoes as long as they have laces. We also have shoes available onsite if you need them. Enjoy your walk!

Do they let you wear your own hat on the Edge Walk? On the review pics I see some people wearing hats but they all seem to be the same red hat that matches the Edge Walk jumpsuits. I'm asking because I wanted to know if they'll make me remove my Rasta hat if I want to do the Edge Walk. It's a knitted hat that fits tightly on my head and covers my dreadlocks. I'll leave it at the hotel if it isn't permitted.

We do recommend that you leave the hat at the hotel as it would not be permitted on EdgeWalk. If your dreadlocks are long we suggest that you use an elastic to tie them up so they don't get caught or blow around in the... More
