Had heard of Second City Improve theater because of Saturday Night Live and more recently The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Wanted to see if the reputation was true. Was not disappointed. The troupe did a great job performing sketch comedy scenes. Ticket price was...More

It's usually a good experience at The Second City and the latest revue, Everything is Great Again is no exception. The venue is great, reasonably small with four chairs per small table. Doors open roughly 45 minutes before the show. Get there around that time...More

I thought the venue was quite good with nice snacks and drinks and good serving staff. The show was slightly amusing but really not what I would call comedy. Most of the jokes fell quite flat and I really only laughed once or twice in...More

Whether you're a Toronto dweller, or visiting, you need to get some Second City Toronto into your life. I have celebrated my past 6 birthdays at Second City, and have loved every minute of them! Each show has been hilariously awesome! All the people that...More

We have been fans of Second City performances in the past, but the most recent show falls short of those previous experiences. The material is mostly unoriginal and derivative in nature. Missing was the cutting-edge political satire. I wonder if there isn't a pervasive sens...More

The show was entertaining, the cast enunciates well, but while there were chuckles and even laughs, there were not any side splitting, tear inducing belly laughs. The theatre is small and intimate and the drink/food service is excellent. We purchased premium seating and had what...More

Made reservations and arrived about 20 minutes before the show and realized that it was already packed. I wasn't aware that the place opened up earlier for drinks, so we ended up being placed in the most awkward seat by the stage. You couldn't even...More

I saw tonight's staging of Everything Is Great Again and it was plainly terrible. I didn't laugh the entire time, and left half way through to go home. I'm having a better time watching SNL skits on YouTube.

I'm no longer a 30-something (twice that) and I laughed my head off. But, if you are clearly younger, I promise you'll really enjoy the show. If you don't want to risk getting called on (my tip for the shy reserved types) avoid the front...More

The seating is really really cramped but we thought the show was very funny. As Americans, they said a lot of what some of us are already thinking about our current government. I found it was done in good taste and not offensive in any...More

I'm not sure if they're allowed, but don't bring them. The content of the show is not appropriate and no one wants your children there.

Our Friday & Saturday shows generally sell out, so best to book those at least a few days in advance. For Sun - Thurs, booking on the day of or day prior is usually fine, although it varies day to day. Can book online... More

Hi, I am looking at the Best of Second City show and wondering if it is appropriate for a14 yr old and a 16 yr old. I called and they said yes, but I am not convinced. I don't want anything R rated and they do watch some fairly funny and a bit off colour movie review videos and some late night tv on occasion. Thnx

Hi Molly. Although some elements of the show change from night to night, the show will certainly contain a fair bit of cursing and other strong language, as well as mature subject matters, including references to sex (and... More
