Our guide, Claire gave me and my girlfriend an amazing tour of the distillery district. We were the only two people that showed up because of cold and rainy weather but Claire still made the night incredible spooky and entertaining though her stories! thanks!

What an excellent way to spend a winter evening! I was a little late due to the weather and traffic (yay, Toronto), however there were guides waiting for me and it was easy to locate the tour that had already begun. Our night itself added to the eerie stories being told by Rogue - still, dark, and snowy, excellent back... More

I went on the walking tour in Toronto on a Friday night, had a great time! Fantastic tour guide and really well planned route. I even won a badge for getting an answer right! Looking into some of their other tours, thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I was on the Original Haunted Walk of Toronto in late October as a way to get into the Halloween spirit. I thought the stories were interesting and our tour guide Morgan did a fantastic job of making them come to life! She was engaging, dynamic, and skilled at keeping things both spooky and light where appropriate. Ending the tour... More

We did the original haunted walk and tour of Makenzie House, which was a great experience on its own. It was very cool to see all of the artifacts up close and the preservation of the house was like stepping back in time. The entire tour itself was a lot of fun and it was very interesting to hear the... More

Ghost stories, cobblestones, and cool architecture? Awesome. It was dark and blustery for our tour of Toronto's Distillery District, and our guide, Trixie, used the atmosphere to her advantage, sharing spooky stories like a seasoned storyteller. I also enjoyed the lighthearted moments of the tour. Mill Street was a nice surprise - although I don't know much about beer, my... More

This review? Awesome. Thanks for taking the time to write this lovely review of your tour with Trixie! We're so glad you were able to have such a great evening in the Distillery. It's a great part of the city, particularly when it's dark and blustery. Thanks for joining us! More

Carolyn with the red hair was awesome and so knowledgeable. The tour was everything more than I was expecting. To top it off we went to McKenzie house and my pictures say it all. It appears it is truly haunted. I recommend anyone interested in some of Toronto's history and not afraid of the dark to go!!!

Nov 4, 2016 "original Toronto" tour. I think Christine was the guide but I might have mis-heard the name. Redhead. Anyway the tour was wonderful - the guide kept the group together and safe. Our teenager latched onto her and loved every minute of the tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the Toronto area.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
