I had attended a few food tours provided by Foodies on Foot (Toronto) in the past. Their tour guide (Steven) was excellent! Steven was very knowledgeable about the city as well as all of the restaurant places which we had visited. He made the touring process fun (even though I have been living in Toronto for many years, I felt... More

We're Toronto people and we love food. We get around a fair bit, and still we were introduced to several new and interesting food places in the city. A great tour! Laura welcomed a small group very warmly and knowledgeably, and by the second stop, it felt like we were a group of friends out for an afternoon of foodie... More

Took the Best of Toronto Food Tour as a way of "giving back" (haha) after watching the Seattle Sounders beat out Toronto FC for the MLS Cup. It was a great way to see the city and experience a variety of its neighborhoods, even in the cold and the snow. The venue selection was excellent, and I even ended up... More

My husband and I went on the 501 Streetcar Food Tour, and it was incredible! We met Steven, our amazing tour guide, and head Foodie. Our group was a mix of locals and tourists, and we had a blast as we ate our way across Queen Street. Steven was an entertaining host as he educated us on the food that... More

Private event with friends/coworkers . 4th year spending the day with Steven guiding us through the best of Toronto. For some of the group it was a first Foodies tour. A great day spent with a wonderful group of friends, yummy food and to top it off the weather was fabulous. Steven is a wonderful host!

We had a staff outing with Foodies on Foot - 20+ people had a great afternoon. We sampled yummy eateries and had a very informative curated tour with Stephen Hellmann of Graffiti Alley. Stephen is a very personable and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended - we would do it again!

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
