I'm here at least once a year and always for the auto show. There is a lot of walking and multiple floors here. Super easy accessibility through a walkway from Union Station.

Usually well-organized and roomy, but everything is far away and alot of walking is required. Parking on site, but expensive. Good restaurants in the area though.

I've visited this convention centre for numerous large events including car shows, concerts, job fairs and fundraising events. I always find it to be quite well laid out and functional. There can be quite a bit of walking involved while attending some events, as the space is enormous and multi-leveled.

The MTCC is a great Toronto location for large events and trade shows. You can easily access the MTCC from the GO Station or Subway (Union Station) without having to step outside, using the covered Skywalk. When you visit the MTCC, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as there is a long walk between the north and south buildings! Lots... More

My first experience with the convention centre was as a child going to the auto show which takes place every year. For the auto show all the halls are linked together and it seems like you will never get to the end of the hall. There is events practically every day and you really have to keep an eye on... More

Attended the 2017 Bridal show. This place is very spacious and the security guards (2) that I met were very helpful with navigating. I had a knee injury (i normally like walking) however, there's quite a lot of walking to do. I didn't like how they lock off the doors which lead to union station, especially when you're trying to... It has direct access to subway lines through Union Station. For new visitors it can be little bit tricky and confusing to figure out its connecting bridge system, etc. However, its just about 5 minutes nice walking distance to the subway through core downtown Toronto. Drop by Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's museum on your way to back to the subway. If... More

Ideal for a location with extremes of weather. You can walk inside all the way from Union Station and back. The facility, itself, remains bland. It's what it's used for that can make the difference: how displays are arranged and managed.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
