Too bad it is under renovations. Why be ready for Canada's big 150? There are a lot of other great things to see and do around town...I am sure when it's reopened it will be great.

We stopped here on a cross country road trip and unfortunately found this site closed for renovations. It has an interesting history and we will definitely return to see first-hand the birthplace of Canada Confederation.

I could not see much except for the view through the wired gate as this historic building is under renovations. From the exterior it suggested to me that it will definitely add a major piece to the Arts and Heritage section Confederation Building adjacent to...More

Arrived day before Canada Day only to find this historic building off limits. Table and chairs the fathers of confederation used were moved next door where the public could sit at the table and sign a guest book and watch a couple short films.

We planned our visit to PEI a year ago to coincide with Canada's 150th Birthday. How disappointing it was for us as well as all the visitors to PEI to find this building under renovations hidden behind protective fencing looking so dilapidated. It’s really hard...More

Beautiful building from what we could see on the outside. Closed for major renovations until 2020. Disappointing!

You can see it from the outside taped up with red and white bands. Was first told of this by taxi driver on way from airport, that this key historic site was not made the most of for the country's most significant anniversary. Not best...More

How disappointing that the renovations could not be completed in time for Canada 150 celebrations. You can see the building, somewhat, behind the protective fencing but it is sad to see it looking so run down. Be sure to stop by the Confederation Arts Centre...More

It seems to be a beautiful building but we were very disappointed with the shape of it. Here we are in town for Canada's Birthday, the birth place of confederation and the building is all boarded up. All efforts should have been put forward to...More

June 2017 - The area is boarded all around the building, and very restricted in views as they compete major restoration to the building. Visit again in a few years from now to see the finished work.
