Beautiful little Island in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Paid a visit to le Moulin and had an introduction into it's work, although it was all in French which was a pity because not everybody in North America speaks Quebec's main language!!!!!

This beautiful island is worth visiting. The trip from Quebec is over 1 hour and has many scenic areas. You will go by Ste-Anne de Beaupre`s cathedral which is worth visiting, the famous ski area Mont-Ste-Anne, Baie St-Paul which is a beautiful little city full of boutiques. The boat ride is about 15 minutes and quite enjoyable. The island is... More

If you are near Baie St-Paul, take the ferry at St-Joseph-de-la-Rive, a 15 minutes (and free) ride to Isles-aux-Coudres. There, you can either go by car but on a beautiful sunny partly cloudy day, you would like to take your bike. It will allow you to exercice, really enjoy the view, stop in all the great shops along the way,... More

The only thing bad about visiting this beautiful place of unspoiled natural beauty is having to return to the reality of life in the U.S. I feel very lucky that I was able to spend three days on this unforgettable island last year. If you want to relax, meet neat residents, and feast your eyes on nature's beauty, you will... More

The view at l'Isle-aux-coudres is not different from the inland: river and mountains, so it's doesn't worth the ride to get there, surprisingly, the most fun at l'Isle-aux-coudres is the ferry, the view is nice. There's no bicycle path as I expected, the road is shared between cars en bikes, and there's only a single road. In 20 minutes by... More

In mid October, while staying at l'Auberge de la Rive, our inn-keeper, Lynn, suggested visiting Isle aux Coudres. So, the following day we did exactly that. Departing after breakfast, we took the little ferry nearby and crossed the St. Lawrence River (only 15-20 minutes) and arrived on the island. The fall weather was simply beautiful and we proceeded our visit... More

Spent 3 days there as part of a bus tour. The Crying Rock hotel is very rustic and charming scenery is beautiful. Food was delicious. The room was pleasant ,but the T.V. was only 10 inches wide and only had 3 english channels. I would recommend this place for anyone who desires a quiet and peaceful place.

After 3 nights in the Quebec City region and spending way too much on food, I was longing for a quiet place to stay where I could simmer in the deliciousness that is Quebec. I found it on Isle Aux Coudres. I visited the first week of July. I was there on Canada day and there was a fireworks display... More

My wife and I traveled to Isle aux Coudres on a day trip. There is a free ferry across to the island and the island is very quiet - few cars and good bike paths if you want to cycle. There is an old mill (Les moulins de l'Isle aux Coudres) which has a good tour and offers Buckwheat flour... More
