Excellent selection of insects and butterflies. Mind blowing exhibits on show. You will have a good time and if you have kids they will enjoy too.

The Insectatium is located on the grounds of the Botanical Gardens. It's informative but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way just to see it. If you go to the Botanical Gardens then it's worth popping in to see.

This was pretty awesome & better than expected. They have some very unusual living insects. They have many cases of moths, butterflies & beetles. Great for kids & adults. The same ticket for the gardens gets you in here.

Our son Tedward ate an ant, so watch your child near the ant tree because there is no safety glass there. Pretty small musuem and smells like bugs.

We spent a couple of hours at the insectarium and it fantastic. Information is clearly presented and in bitesize chunks so that overall there is a lot to read but individual exhibits are not overwhelming. Lockers are available at the entrance and there are washrooms...More

Wide collection of assorted butterflies, moths, and beetles displayed behind glass. Also on exhibit are habitats for a living colony of leaf-cutting ants, and numerous varieties of insects whose camouflage is virtually indistinguishable from the leafy plants on which they live. It’s not a large...More
