Lovely place to wander around or have a picnic on a sunny day....and a real gathering place. Groups of people playing music or just lying on the grass slopes chilling. Part of Mont Royal so within close distance of shopping and restaurants. Lovely little lake and fountain surrounded by a pathway to walk around.

Parc Lafontaine is one of Montreal's biggest parks and certainly one of the most beautiful. You can picnic, bike, skateboard, jog, play frisbee, watch a live concert, go for a quiet walk and go ice skating on the man-made pond (with a huge fountain in the middle!). Lots to do here and lots of fun to be had!

Very nice park , big and with a lot of squirells. Enjoy fresh air and the shade in a sunny day, in the middle of a busy downtown Montreal.

This really one of the best parks in Montreal. it has an eclectic array of people and activities. Have a picnic with friends, play tennis, read a book, nap, play bocce ball, play guitar, do yoga, meditate, play soccer, juggle...whatever your pleasure. there are so many large trees and open spaces...lots of great memories to be had here.

A charming park, even on a brisk October day, La Fontaine has two adjoining lakes, a cafe that is open all the time, well-designed paths and lots of benches. It is said that if you see a white squirrel in the park it will bring you good luck.

A big and beautiful park, where you can walk, have a picnic or just relax. Plenty of seating areas all around the Park, and there are areas for the kids to play as well. The buss stop is just outside the park, which would take you to and from Sherbrook Metro station in very few minutes.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
