I pass this park so often, but tend to overlook it for cross country skiing, since we often go to Cap St-Jacques. We have had a few weekends where we were short for time and did not want to drive all the way there and possibly face problems finding parking. Angrignon Park has 10 km of trails and has a... More

Beautiful park all seasons. During warmer days come for a walk or picnic. During fall enjoy the colors and in Winter you have enough white clean snow to build a huge castle.

Angrignon is a must visit for anyone who is fortunate to be in the city in the spring. Other seasons are great too but my first intro to the park was in the spring of 1983 after exams and a brutal winter term in grad school . Great memories of ones youth , and I always try to recapture when... More

I go here frequently during the summer and fall months. It's a reminder of God's Beauty. I enjoy coming here to spend time with God. It's worth it. 💛

Easy to access - you walk right out of the metro into the park so no need to bring the car but there is parking too. Nice green space in the city with a small playground, picnic areas and bathrooms too. A great place to walk around and take a break.

When you want to enjoy with family, it's a long walk from parking lot to the playground and tables. We had one person on a weelchair and bbq lunch, it was not fun to walk with all of that and the baby stroller. Also, having a park map at the parking would have helped on where we need to go.

It's a great park in the city. Lots of space to either stroll or ride your bike. The park is very established with huge trees to picnic under. Some areas offer BBQ's. The only suggestion... bathrooms.

We went this past weekend. The park has 10km of walking trails and a large lake and tons of birds, squirrels and other wildlife. We spent a very pleasant 3 hours or so, walking the trails, soaking in the sun and picnic-ing by the lake. It's a good place to bring kids and spend the day out during the summer... More

..big enough to put up a tent somewhere ..but hey I didn't send ye there..I am, just saying that Mount Royal is probably even wilder, less controlled ..although today , with the interwet, there are cameras everywhere..convenient access via angrignon Metro..or head towards the water South and go see the Rapids of the Saint Laurent

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialised Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
