We loved this cathedral just as much as the basilica of Notre Dame! It is beautifully constructed and full of history and art. There are large open spaces as well as intimate niches and chapels, and it is a beautiful monument to the Christian faith...More

One of the most beautiful basiliques you'll see in Montreal. It wasn't crowded at all and it's located in an area close to downtown and several shopping centers.

Personally, I found this building a bit grim, but it is worth a visit. Some may find it tranquil. Tastes vary. There are numerous shrines to universal and local saints. Take time to walk around it slowly and contemplate.

We saw three churches in downtown Montreal: Notre Dame (of course), St. Patrick's, and Marie-Reine-du-Monde. Each was very different and very beautiful.

If you haven’t been or can’t go to Saint Peters Basilica in Rome, stop here for a quick visit. It’s beautiful inside and a great place to simply sit and enjoy the quiet while you look around.

This amazing cathedral, the seat of the diocese, was designed in homage to St. Peters Basilica in Vatican square. The collection of paintings on the wall are not to be missed.
